About me

Rachel Bosanquet
I have always felt a deep connection with nature. As a child, I spent long periods of time immersed in it, paving the way for a career of nearly twenty years in environmental conservation.
In my late twenties, life threw some challenges at me and feelings of direction and purpose were replaced by fear and self-doubt. I was lucky enough to find calm during the storm with someone very special, who welcomed me onto her farm and enabled my nervous system to quieten and heal. She was a true naturalist, nurturing all living things and viewing us as firmly part of, not separate to, nature. The almost therapeutic relationship with her, and with nature, was immensely powerful and something I have held close to my heart ever since.
Carving out time and space to pause, to feel, to reflect, is so important and has led me to setting up Selfheal, so that others can benefit from this too.

In recent years, I have worked in the fields of neurodiversity and mental health. I feel strongly that everyone should be treated with kindness and compassion, and that diversity is not only incredibly beautiful, but also an essential element of the natural world.
I hold qualifications in counselling skills and reiki practice and have experience of supporting anxiety, depression, trauma and neurodivergence, as well as my own rich tapestry of personal life experiences.
